Pakistan awards the contract for Tarbela 5th Extension E&M works to China's Harbin
The Tarbela 5th Extension Hydropower Project being constructed on Tunnel No. 5 of Tarbela Dam is funded by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) by US$ 390m and a loan of US$ 300m by Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Water Power Magazine reports that for the Power Construction Corporation of China Limited (PCCCL) was awarded the contract amounting to a US$354.6 million for the civil works in May.
