Baikal–Amur Mainline (BAM) is preparing for the construction of the second Dusse-Alin tunnel. The new tunnel (second tube) will run parallel to existing tunnel whose construction started in 1939 and finished in 1982.

Rzd-partner writes that Drill & Blast technology will be used to build a new single-track tunnel with a length of 1,824 m. 2025 is expected completion for this tunnel on Urgal-Postyshevo railway section in Verkhnebureinsky District of the Khabarovsk Territory.
