Italy announces 35 tenders for 54 lots worth €650 million for rehabilitation of bridges, viaducts and tunnels

    ANAS S.p.A. (Azienda Nazionale Autonoma delle Strade, English: National Autonomous Roads Corporation) has announced to spend €650 million for road network safety.

    35 Tenders have been published for a total of 54 lots for investments on more performing barriers, arrangement of rocky slopes and rehabilitation of bridges, viaducts and tunnels Objective: to raise the safety standards of the network more and more, to improve driving efficiency and comfort.

    Anas (FS Italiane Group) continues its commitment to increasing the security of its network with the publication in the Official Gazette of 35 tenders, for a total of 54 lots, corresponding to a value of 650 million euros. The works will concern the installation of more performing barriers, arrangement of the rocky slopes and the rehabilitation of bridges, viaducts and tunnels.

    In particular, the calls for four-year framework agreements concern:

    1 tender for the production, supply and installation of the new Anas NDBA barrier for the traffic divider and bridge edge configurations for a total value of 150 million euros (50 million euros for each of the three lots: North, Center, South and Islands);

    1 call for scheduled maintenance work relating to the execution of works for the arrangement of rocky slopes and protection of the road body for a total value of 160 million euros (divided into 16 lots);

    1 tender for construction works and structural and plant engineering rehabilitation of tunnels for a total value of 180 million euros (in total 3 lots), divided as follows for each of the territorial structures: 12 million euros in Lombardy, Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta, Liguria, Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna, Campania, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily; 10 million euros to Tuscany, Lazio, Umbria, Marche, Abruzzo and Molise, Sardinia

    32 calls for tenders concerning works for the installation of metal road barriers (in total 16 lots) and the structural rehabilitation of works of art (bridges and viaducts for a total of 16 lots), for a total value of 160 million euros (5 million euros for each lot), divided into all the territorial structures of Anas and concerning, specifically the Areas of Sicily, Sardinia, Calabria, Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise, Umbria, Marche, Tuscany, Emilia- Romagna, Veneto and Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Lombardy, Liguria, Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta.

    Anas thus continues to intervene quickly and effectively to plan the maintenance of the road network also through the production of technologies and implemented in-house by the company with a view to increasing the safety standards of the network more and more, improving efficiency and driving comfort.

    As a result of the tender procedures, a framework agreement will be stipulated for each of the lots in order to guarantee the possibility of starting the works as quickly as possible when the need arises, without having to carry out a new tender each time, allowing therefore saving of time, greater efficiency and quality.

    The interested companies must send the digital offers, accompanied by the required documentation, on the Anas Purchasing Portal https://acquisti.stradeanas.it, under penalty of exclusion, by 12.00 on 23 December 2021.
