After considering various proposals, the local politicians have decided that a two-lane tunnel under the Teieskogen is the best option.  With only one vote against.

It came at a price. The scope has been reduced (e.g. a two lane tunnel instead of a 4 lane one, etc) to reduce the overall cost by approx. NOK 600 million.
