DPP announced further preliminary market consultations for the implementation of the second section of metro D Olbrachtova - Nové Dvory

14. 02. 2022 Prague, February 14, 2022 - Dopravní podnik hl. The City of Prague (DPP) is preparing another public contract in connection with the construction of the second section of the Olbrachtova - Nové Dvory metro station, namely for the provision of construction monitoring services and the certification of existing buildings that could be affected by the construction. In view of the good experience with previous public contracts related to the construction of metro D, even in this case, DPP will conduct preliminary market consultations (PTKs) before announcing its own tender procedure, in which potential suppliers can provide feedback on some of the considered terms of the contract.

DPP decided to use the TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) method for the construction of tunnels in the second section of the Olbrachtova - Nové Dvory metro station. This method is generally more efficient, faster and especially gentler for tunneling on already existing objects on the surface and underground. The aim of PTK is to verify the determination of requirements for suppliers of monitoring services, which are related to the use of this new method. Based on the information obtained from suppliers, DPP will adjust the conditions of the public contract so as to enable the widest possible circle of potential suppliers to participate in the competition, but at the same time the necessary expertise and experience will be ensured for all participants. Preliminary market consultations will last at least until February 25, 2022 and are open to all potential suppliers.

DPP plans to announce the public contract for the selection of a provider of monitoring and passportization services during the first half of this year. Its estimated value is 680 million crowns.
