Romanian National Company for Road Infrastructure Management (CNAIR) has received bids from three consortium for construction of section 3 of the Sibiu - Pitești Highway with tunnel. Section 2 is already being built by two Turkish companies.

On Thursday, March 10, 2022, the bids for the Second Stage (Technical Proposals and Financial Proposals) of the contract award procedure "Design and execution of the Sibiu - Pitești Highway, Section 3: Cornetu - Tigveni" took place.

By the deadline, three participants had submitted bids:

1- Consortium of MAKYOL INSAAT SANAYI TURIZM VE TICARET A.S. - OZALTIN ​​INSAAT TICARET VE SANAYI A.S. - YAPI MERKEZI İNŞAAT VE SANAYI A.Ş. - GÜLERMAK AĞIR SANAYI İNŞAAT VE TAAHHÜT A.Ş.

2- Consortium of SOCIEREA STRABAG SRL - ACCIONA CONSTRUCCION SA

3- Consortium of ASTALDI SPA - TANCRAD SRL

The estimated value of the contract is between 5,324,779,469.00 and 5,807,870,404.00 lei without VAT.

The route is 37.4 km long

Funding source: European Grants.

The contract has a design period of 14 months and an execution period of 59 months.

The warranty period for the works is 60 months.

The duration of the works contract may vary depending on the warranty period of the works, as well as on the duration of the execution of the contract offered by the winning economic operator.

The main works of this section are:

    95 bridges and passages;
    Tunnel with two independent galleries 1.7 km long / gallery;
    Cornetu road node and Văleni road node;
    Ecoduct in the area of ​​Călinești.

Stage I of the restricted tender procedure was completed on 01.07.2021, and the invitations to participate in Stage II of the procedure (Tender submission stage) were sent to the 6 pre-qualified candidates in the first stage, as follows :

The Evaluation Commission will analyze at this stage the submitted bids, respectively the Technical Proposals and the Financial Proposals, in accordance with the provisions of the Award Documentation and with the legislation in force in the field of public procurement and in compliance with the legal deadlines for evaluating bids.
