Ssangyong E&C-lead consortium is expected to win Pyeongtaek-Osong 2-track high-speed railway section 5. Most of construction of 5th section consists of underground tunnels.
Business Post report Ssangyong E&C has advantage because of its tunnel experience. According to report, National Railroad Corporation's Standards Review Office gave higher point to Ssangyong E&C consortium (93.83 points) than DL ENC (90.76) for design review for the Pyeongtaek-Osong 2-track Zone 5. In that project, design has 70% weight, price has 30%.
Ssangyong E&C consortium has Ssangyong E&C 65% share, Hoban Construction 10%, Wooil Construction 7%, Inseong Construction 6%) and Gyeonggido 5%.
