I read that Japan's daily the Mainichi Shimbun has found 'Unification church'-linked group has accumulated a lot of land in southwest Japan's northern Kyushu region for a project to create an undersea tunnel connecting Japan and South Korea.

This attracted my attention because this church has been very controversial. I read that many in Japan say this church drains its members of their savings. One child of such a member whose funds drained by the church has killed Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in the past months. After that the current prime minister has ordered investigation into this cult-like 'Unification Church".

This controversial church champions the construction of a Korea - Japan tunnel.
