The tunnel boring machine has excavation diameter 13,8 meter, 2900 tonnes. It was manufactured at  China Railway Construction Corporation Heavy Industry (CRCHI) base in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province.

It will excavate part of new underground section of the Beijing-Tianjin high-speed rail line.
