A super large China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co Ltd (CREG) tunnel boring machine (TBM) 15.03 meters in diameter began an underwater tunneling project in Shantou city, in South China's Guangdong province.

Machine will bore a tunnel 3,048 meters at a depth of 20 meters under 10-bar pressure from water, air and ground.
