The first TBM to be used in Chile has been introduced
The first Tunnel Boring Machine to be used in Chile has been introduced with a ceremony.
The Santiago Metro, together with the
A ceremony attended by the Chilean Minister of Transportation, Juan Carlos Muñoz, and the mayors of Cerro Navia, Renca and Quinta Normal has introduced the first ever Tunnel Boring Machine ever to be used in Chile.
The TBM will be used for the tunneling of the line 7 of Metro of Santiago. 6.6 Kilometers of total 7 kilometers long tunnel will be bored using the TBM method.
The Chinese CRCC China Railway Construction Corporation will build the new new line.
