The tunnel passes under New York City’s East River. A contractor was drilling as a part of a preliminary work to build new promenade "UN Promenade" along the riverside.

Leak filled up the exhaust collection layer at the ceiling of the tunnel hence causing water leak along a long stretch of the tunnel. Hilarious!

The contractor had to drill about 30 meters deep with 15 meters through water and then 15 meters through the soil and the tunnel.
