China: Breakthroughs made in building of large-diameter tunnel boring machines. CRCHI produce mega TBM 16.64 meter in diameters
Global Times report the TBM "Jianghai" has diameter of 16.64 meter. It was developed by China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corp (CRCHI) together with China Railway 14th Bureau Group Corp.
It is for to construct Haitai Yangtze River Tunnel in East China's Jiangsu Province which will be world's longest underwater road tunnel.
