Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has criticized the slow pace of tunnel building in Belarus and said in Moscow it is faster. He said this in opening new section of the third line of Minsk metro on 30 December. Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev responded that they build half the price of their neighbors (Russia/Moscow).

Kukharev also says they will buy a second tunnel boring machine.

The planned 4th line will be a 25 kilometers long ring line. It will have 17 stations from under-construction station of 3rd line Park of Friendship of Peoples to North Waterfront.
