Poland: TBM Katarzyna seems to be stuck while boring the railway tunnel under Łódź.
TuŁódź news article says the downtime of the larger TBM Katarzyna shield is being extended. The article reports that it is not moving since the autumn of 2024. Consequently the residents of the tunneling route could not return to their houses. They had been evacuated for safety reasons in August and they are staying at hotels etc. Authorities say this is due to some anomalies encountered during the tunneling.
