New İstanbul Mayor restarts the Çekmeköy - Sancaktepe - Sultanbeyli subway line construction
New İstanbul mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu (CHP) restart Çekmeköy - Sancaktepe - Sultanbeyli subway line construction. Previous mayor from ruling Akparti (or AKP) had stopped it because of no money left in municipality.
Çekmeköy - Sancaktepe - Sultanbeyli subway line is 10,9 km long and 8 stations. It was stop 2 years ago after start of construction. Now it is started by new social democrat mayor.
A Tunnel Boring Machine will lower to excavation area on 26 Kasım 2019 Tuesday at 11.00 at subway station of Sancaktepe Abdurrahman Gazi subway station with a ceremony. Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu will speak.
İstanbul mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu: Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe City Hospital station metro will finish in 2022.
Construction originally stated in 2017 but stopped when Akparti (or AKP) mayor finished the money. It stated again in end of 2019 with the new social democrat (CHP) mayor İmamoğlu.
