Colombia to pay for cost overruns on La Linea tunnel project
Colombia’s national roads institute (Invias) to pay $ 9,346 million to the Consorcio Conlinea Tres consortium (Constructora Conconcreto, CSS Constructores and Estyma Estudios y Manejosfor) the La Linea tunnel project cost overruns. This comes after an arbitration tribunal decision..
Initially, the Consorcio Conlinea Tres requested compensation for $ 15,900 million, but the Court ruling established a payment that only amounted to $ 9,346 million.

Colombia's CGR (Comptroller General of the Republic) supposedly will "put a magnifying glass" over the La Linea tunnel project to check the cost overruns. Keeping up Appearances, in my opinion. Project is already over budget and money is already spend (or transferred...).

Hmmmmm, as if La Linea was not already in time and cost overruns.
They claim 88% of work is completed. They say it costs $2.89 billion. I am not sure if it is project earned value (to date completed budget) or projected completion cost.
