Karavanke Tunnel Contract Signed with Turkish Builder, Work Starts in Spring
Slovenia's DARS and Turkish builder Cengiz signed the contract for the construction of the second tube of the Karavanke tunnel. Work will start in spring "whether permitting".
Cengiz has 20 business days to submit a EUR 12 million bank guarantee, afer which the work can start.
One less roadblock on the way to new tube for Karavanke tunnel.
Turkey's Cengiz has submitted the required bank guarantee to Slovenian state-owned motorway company DARS concerning the construction of a 120 million euro ($130 million) second tube of the Karavanke motorway tunnel, local media reported.
