New İstanbul mayor İmamoğlu restarts the construction of the Kaynarca-Pendik-Tuzla Subway tunnel. The previous mayor from ruling Akparti (or AKP) mismanage and at end had to stop the project. The new mayor is of social democrat CHP politic party.

Kaynarca-Pendik-Tuzla Subway tunnel is 12 km long. It have 8 stations. Plan to finish it in 2022.
