Türkiye plans tender for 12,5 kilometer Palandöken tunnel part of Karadeniz-Güneydoğu line

    Erzurum - Tekman arasındaki Palandöken tüneli (Rize-Erzurum gidiş gelişi ile)

    Project plan for new Palandöken tunnel ready. Preparatıons contınue for tender thıs year, 2020.

    Palandöken tunnel will be between the city of Erzurum and town of Tekman in south. Both cities in Doğu Anadolu (East Anatolia) region of Türkiye.  Tunnel will make Erzurum - Tekman road 35 kilometer shorter. Now road go over Palandöken mountain with much snow. Road sometimes 3000 meter high make travel from Erzurum to Muş and Van difficult.

    This route connect Karadeniz ports to Güneydoğu cities of Muş and Van. Then also to İran. Important for economies of all cities.

    Palandöken tunnel will be one tube tunnel. It is part of bigger Karadeniz - Güneydoğu line (Blacksea - Southeast).

    Tunnels built from Rize (coast city by Karadeniz) to Erzurum:

    These tunnels connect Karadeniz ports to Doğu Anadolu and İran border gate Gürbulak.

    Ovit Dağı Tüneli (Ovit mountain tunnel) = Opened in June 2018. It is 14,346 kilometer long highway tunnel, ıncludıng 1,369 km cut and cover avalanche tunnel. Two Tube. It is under 2.640 meter high mountain Ovit Dağı. Between İkizere (of Rize province) and İspir (of Erzurum province). It is Türkiye's second longest tunnel after Zigana tüneli.

    Kırık Tüneli (Kırık tunnel) = Under construction. 7,1 kilometer long highway tunnel. Two tube.  This is continuation of Ovit Dağı Tüneli. It 33 kilometer shorten road between İspir and Erzurum. Construction continue too long. Problematic construction problematic constructor. Contractor: Seza İnşaat

    Dallıkavak Tüneli (Dallıkavak tunnel) : Under construction. 6,2 kilometer long highway tunnel. Two tube. Also continuation of Ovit Daği tüneli.  Tunnel 2.349 meter under Dallıkavak geçidi (passage). Constructıon start in 2012 and 2020 still not finish. Problem contractor. Contractor: Karfen İnşaat.
