Your Opportunity with Michels Canada

The TBM Operator must have current experience operating Herrenknecht AVN and AVND machines within varying ground conditions on tunnel diameters over 1.2M and tunnel length over 200M.

our Key Responsibilities

    Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
    Reviewing hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to test, identify, diagnose and repair issues with mechanical systems, subsystems, and components
    Managing project documentation, drawings, tunnel alignment profiles, and different soil properties
    Maintaining and producing operational reports and daily activity logs
    Training and mentoring other team members
    Operating specialized construction equipment and vehicles, safely and productively
    Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

    Herrenknecht AVN MTBM Machine experience
    Knowledge and operational experience with programmable logic controller (PLC) systems
    Knowledge of Herrenknecht MTBM guidance systems; including laser/visual target and Gyro navigation
    Knowledge of Herrenknecht MTBM conditioning methods
    Ability to use surveying equipment, interpret plans and properly complete calculations for grade and alignment
