Moscow Metro announces 2,2 kilometre tunnel for Lublin-Dmitrov Line

    Russia's capital Moscow has the best and biggest metro in the world. Every day it is getting bigger.

    Moscow Metro planners have announced today on 30 April 2020 that Lianozovo to the Fiztekh in  Lublin-Dmitrov Line they will build a tunnel. It is 2,2 kilometre long.

    On top of this, Mowcow metro work for left tunnel between the stations "University of Peoples' Friendship" and "General Tyulenev Street" on the Kommunarskaya metro line began. It is 2.7 thousand meters long at a depth of 17 to 28 meters. It will go under the undeveloped territory of the Konkovo ​​and Teply Stan districts. The right tube is being bored by TBM Olga, which, since its launch in December last year, has already bored more than half of the tunnel says press office.

    The Moscow city authorities decided to make the tunnel between the Lianozovo and Fiztekh underground stations.

    According to the press service of the complex of urban planning policy and construction in Moscow, having considered two options for tunneling on this section of the Lublin-Dmitrov line - ground and underground, experts came to the conclusion that it was necessary to build it underground. The decision was supported by the assets of NEAD, the prefecture of the district and local deputies.

    - In addition to other advantages, the construction of the tunnel will reduce the work of relocating communications - there will be no need to make main water and gas pipelines, as well as minimize road blocking. This will significantly reduce inconvenience for local residents. The length of the site will be 2.2 km, - quotes the site as the words of the Deputy Mayor of Moscow on urban policy and construction Andrei Bochkarev.

    The latest news on the progress of the construction of the Lianozovo metro station is provided by the Internet public on the development of the metro and transport in Moscow on the VKontakte social network (http://vk.com/razvitie_metro_msk).

    - If soil is still being selected from the pit of the station towards Severny, then in the southern part of the station the construction of the main platform structures has already begun. It is not surprising: very soon the LOVAT “Klavdiya” TBM, which started from the dead ends behind the “Seligerskaya” and passed the “Yakhromskaya” transit, will be released here, ”the public said.

    According to the group, after the finish in the Lianozovo foundation pit, the shield will be transported back to the installation chamber on the Seligerskaya - Yakhromskaya stage to drive the second (right) tunnel.

    It is clarified that to launch the site, it will be necessary to build two more tunnels (700 meters each) to the dismantling chamber on Pskovskaya Street, a ground section of about 200 meters in the Moscow Ring Road and an underground section with a station with the working name "Northern Village" ("Fizteh") and negotiable dead ends of the site.
