Chile's capital floated the tender for the first part of the city's new east-west line dubbed 'Line 7'. The 26 kilometer Line 7 will have 19 stations between Vitacura and Renca and it will serve 1.35 million residents. It is one of the biggest investments of the city with an estimated cost of 2.9 Billion US Dollars.

Interested parties will submit their bids until August 26 and the bids will be made public in February next year.

Line 7 is one of the many new metro lines planned by Metro de Santiago.
