10 months ago İzmir newspaper Yeni Asır reported cracks in segments for İzmir Narlıdere metro. Because contractor used fiber reinforced polymer in segments instead of iron bars.

Same newspaper report cracks in houses in route of Fahrettin Altay-Narlıdere line. Interesting it immediately bring back segment problem in people's mind. Newspaper quick to remind segment crack case by the same contractor.

Yeni Asır headline for new is "Metro works has cracked Narlıdere". Newspaper claim cracks in Yenikale neighbourhood because contractor company took no precautions. People in several apartments evacuated. They receive compansation for rent. But residents complain they receive not enough compansation.

Contractor placed concrete in problem areas. But residents not satisfied. 

This is metro works performed by İzmir BB (İzmir Bigcity Municipality). It is run by Social Democrat CHP party. Yeni Asır newspaper is owned by Sabah newspaper group. Sabah group is very pro Erdoğan (AKP or another name 'Ak Parti'). People say Sabah group get much money from AKP. Maybe why they report this so much.
