CREG Tunnel Boring Machine for Świna Tunnel is ready
The Chinese company CREG (China Railway Engineering Group) successfully completed all tests of the Tunnel Boring Machine. Despite the coronavirus pandemy, work progressed without delays. The TBM is ready since June for shipment to Poland.
The 13.5m diameter CREG TBM will be shipped to Poland and the contractor Gulermak will start boring the tunnel in the beginning of 2021.

CREG started dis-assembling the tunnel boring machine before it is shipped to Poland for boring an undersea tunnel between the islands of Uznam and Wolin in Świnoujście.
CREG Tunnel Boring Machine is in the process of being loaded on the ship at a port in China.
It will arrive in Poland after a travel of 10,350 nautical miles. In the beginning of 2021 it will start bore operation for the Świna Tunnel.
