Iwi backs deal over Taranaki's $200m Mt Messenger project

    Iwi, the largest Māori group in New Zealand backs the $200m project Mt Messenger bypass with a tunnel, albeit a short one: 235m.

    Taranaki Regional Council's project is still to overcome the appeals to the Environment Court’s interim decision which is expected in August.
