R&Q Engineering-Geoconsult Ltda. Consortium has presented the Feasibility Study "Construction of the Paso Las Leñas International Tunnel" to the Ministry of Public Works of Chile.

Presentation has been made as a videoconference with the participation of technical representatives from Chile and Argentina.

It was stated at the video conference that “In 2016, La Entidad Binacional Túnel Las Leñas (the Binational Entity Las Leñas Tunnel) (EBILEÑAS) was created to promote the project, once this study is completed of preliminary feasibility, it will continue from Argentina with new drilling studies for an eventual design ” according to El Rancagüino.
