The photogravures dating from 1906 and showing scenes from New York's tunnel construction sites are to go under hammer at NY's Swann Galleries. There are all 19 of them and they show the heritage of tunneling.
The start price is marked as US$ 1200 which is not much in my opinion.
Maybe a bit expensive for a private collector. On the other hand, if I had a tunneling company, I would certainly buy them and hang on the walls of my meeting rooms. What better way to show that you are an international company with deep roots? At least it would give that impression.
