Second Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel is 15.89 kilometers long. It is longer than current World longest road subsea tunnel Norway Ryfylke tunnel (14.3 kilometers).
Xinhuanet write "amount of eexcavation exceeds 8 million cubic meters, more than Japan Seikan Undersea Tunnel (5.2 million cubic meters) and England-France Tunnel (4.8 million cubic meters).
