76.4 Km long Kathmandu-Terai Fast Track project is only 11% complete according to my republica. It is unlikely that original completion year of 2024 is caught. The road project has also 6.41km long tunnels in addition to 10.49 km long bridges.

Nepalese army which was assigned to run the project has not yet selected a contractor among the bidders to construct the tunnels. Choosing a contractor for tunnels is considered to be the "most difficult" task of the project.
