Senior Tunnelling Engineer- London

Qualifications:

• Civil Engineering, Tunnelling or Mining Master's degree with honours;
• Professional qualification / chartered status

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience in leading and delivering designs for complex tunneling, shaft construction or mining projects, on time and within budget, maintaining high technical standards consistent with the project brief;
• Collaborating with clients and other discipline design teams;
• In-depth knowledge of both SCL and TBM lining design; providing technical guidance to and mentoring junior members of the team;
• Experience in numerical modelling and leading design automation tasks;
• Active in skills development and setting a culture of excellence in design.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of London ground conditions;
• Rock mechanics skills;
• Understanding of programming languages (e.g. Python, Grasshopper, Dynamo) and FME software;
• Experience in subconsultant management.
