Delta Mayor George Harvie is back as vice-chair of Metro Vancouver’s George Massey Crossing Task Force chaired by Sav Dhaliwal.

After scrapping the previous Liberal government's 10-lane bridge plan, the NDP government reduced the alternatives to an 8-lane immersed tunnel or 8-lane bridge. Mayors of Metro Vancouver had already endorsed the tunnel option last year but the government is still yet to announce their final decision.
