The CPK (Centralny Port Komunikacyjny) announced a tender for the design of a high-speed rail tunnel in Łódź. The deadline for submitting offers is the first half of February 2021. The tunnel will be part of the high speed railway line connecting Warsaw with Łódź and Wrocław.

The announced tender is for selection of a contractor for the construction design and the necessary studies and administrative decisions for the tunnel, railway line and the related infrastructure.

The tunnel over 4 kilometre long will be excavated by TBM method.
