Abancay Tunnel Project has been presented. The 2-lane road tunnel will serve Apurima population. It will  begin in the Sector of San Antonio - Mirador de Abancay and would culminate in the Sector of Pisonaypata of the district of Curahuasi. It will cut the travel time between Abancay and Cusco in half.

The tunnel will be 7 kilometers long, with a 10 meters width and 8 meters height. of Abancay and Cusco.
