Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) has opened the financial bids for the Phase 2 of the Chennai  Metro.

4 Firms had qualified. They were named as GULERMAK, Larsen & Toubro Limited, Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. and Tata projects.

According to financial bids opened last week, Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) is the lowest bidder in all 3 contract packages TU-01, TU-02, C4-ECV-02.

TU-01 Work Summary:

Tender for PHASE-II/CORR-3/CP30/TU01: Construction of approximate nine (09) km twin bored tunnels from tbm retrieval shaft near venugopal nagar metro station to kellys metro station and construction of diaphragm walls of station box and entry/exit structures of madhavaram milk colony, murarihospital, ayanavaram and purasaiwakkam high road stations, including launching and retrieval shafts as required in the above metro stations.

TU-02 Work Summary:

Tender  for PHASE-II/CORR-3/CP31/TU02: -construction  of  approximate  (twelve)  12 km  twin  bored  tunnels  from  kellys  metro  station  to  taramani  road junction  metro  station  and  construction  of  diaphragm  walls  of  station box   and   entry/   exit   structures   of   chetpet,   royapettah government hospital,  thiruvanmiyur  and  part  diaphragm  wall  of  greenways  road metro  station  including  launching  and  retrieval  shafts  as  required  in the above metro stations”.-.

C4-ECV-02 Work Summary
