About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the Balfour Beatty Vinci contract working with the tunnel team on HS2. The purpose of the role is to facilitate functional support for health and safety aspects for the tunnel team in their delivery in the construction of the tunnels required at critical locations for successful delivery to the client.

What you'll be doing

• Advise, guide and coach on the implementation of the Health Safety Management System (HSMS)
• Advise on project requirements for HSMS and statutory requirements
• Assist with the development, review of the HSMS
• Support health and safety competence standards
• Monitor and review onboarding process for tunnel team
• Review and support the implementation of the CPP
• Support operation teams with accident/incident investigations, timely reporting and communication of the findings
• Site inspections and liaison with site supply chain
• Providing best practice solutions to the construction team
• Promoting the key values and the golden rules for the contract

Who we're looking for

• Experience in construction/ heavy civils large scale complex contracts (tunnel experience desirable)
• Nebosh General
• Nebosh Construction
• Membership of IOSH
