ADIF (Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias), the state-owned railway infrastructure manager in Spain awards the contract for conduction a study for renovation of the El Padrún and Villabona tunnels. The tunnels lie on the León-Gijón railway route. They are actually comprised of 3 tunnels, total around 4,5 km.

UTE (formed by TEC Cuatro and Subterra Ingeniería) gets the 721,969.34 euro contract for the detail survey of the tunnels as well as documenting the work needed to renovate and modernize the tunnels.
