Joint proposal for “Namhae-Yeosu submarine tunnel construction” signed
Joint proposal for “Namhae-Yeosu submarine tunnel construction” signed. With participation of the heads of 9 cities and counties along the southern coast.
The project connect Seomyeon, Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do and Sangam-dong, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do. It is 7.3km long, consisting of 4.2km undersea tunnel, 1.73km on land tunnel, and 1.37km access road.
It aim to open in 2029, with estimated cost 6312 billion won. When completed, the travel distance of 80 km between Namhae and Yeosu reduce to 8 km, and the travel time reduce from 1 hour 20 minutes to 10 minute.
look forward to the successful completion of the submarine tunnel construction project and becoming known as a world-class tourist attraction.
