The Police-Święta tunnel under the Oder river will be 5 km long between Police and the town of Święta and will be part of 54 km long, the western bypass of Szczecin.The whole project (tunnel plus the roads) is estimated to be costing PLN 3,2 Billion. Inzynieria reports that original plan was for a 3,5km long tunnel but it had to be extended to 5 kilometer to accommodate existing development in the area.

The Investment Project Assessment Team (ZOPI) at the Szczecin branch of GDDKiA (General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways) approved the so-far prepared parts of the program concept together with the ground research results. If the report is approved by the Investment Project Assessment Committee (KOPI) of GDDKiA, then the project will be one step closer to for a tender of "design and build".
