Skanska gets the contract to build highway and tunnel in Slovakia, for €255M

    Swedish company Skanska announces that it got a €255million worth contract to build highway section and tunnel in Višňové, Slovakia.

    Skanska has a Slovakian branch. Skanska announcement on 23 April goes as below.

    Skanska builds highway section and tunnel in Višňové, Slovakia, for EUR 255M, about SEK 2.6 billion

    Skanska has signed a contract with National Highway Authority of the Slovak Republic to build a highway in Višňové, northern Slovakia. The contract is worth EUR 255M, about SEK 2.6 billion, which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the second quarter 2021.

    The construction of the 13.5-kilometer section between Lietavská Lúčka – Višňové – Dubná Skala, including a 7.5-kilometer-long tunnel and seven bridges, will be financed by the European Regional Development Fund, OP Integrated Infrastructure 2014-2020 and the state budget.

    The expected construction commencement date is April 2021 and the completion is scheduled for December 2023.
