According to Eco TV published yesterday, Panama Metro S.A. 4 bidders came forward for the design work for designing the Line 3.

Consortium Túnel de Las América (Técnica y Proyectos, SA-Typsa and Louis Berger LAC. S. de RL)

Consortium Aecom-Sener Tunnel Line 3, (URS Holdings, Inc. and Sener Ingeniería y Sistemas, SA)

Consortium Applus Norcontrol Panamá, SA / Applus Norcontrol SL Sociedad Unipersonal / Geocontrol, S.A.

Ayesa-ILF Consortium (Ayesa Ingeniería y Arquitectura, S.A., Ayesa Panamá, S.A. and ILF Consulting Engineers Austria GMBH)

Bidders presented both technical and economic bids. The reference price for the economic bid was 13 million dollars. Evaluation will take 10 days.

The wining contractor will have to exercise with "total responsibility" the development of engineering in terms of content and time management. Tunnel will be 5.3 kilometers.
