SK Ecoplant announced on August 25 that a consortium it leads had won the design and construction 'Gangneung-Jejin single-track railway section 4 construction project' contract of National Railways. The total construction value is 371.5 billion won and SK Ecoplant part is 41% in the whole work. 

A single-track railway line has a total length of 22.4 km. It has Yangyang Station and the 38th Signal Station. Among other infrastructure work it has a tunnel section is 15.1km long at 4 locations.

Ceoscoredaily writes that SK Ecoplant is in a consortium with Hoban Industrial, V Industrial, Special Construction, Dongwoo Development, Deokheung Construction, Shinheung Construction, Ilsan General Construction, Hyungjin Construction, and Shinhwa Construction to win the contract.
