Former deputy group director of LTA (Land Transport Authority ) Henry Foo Yung Thye has been sentenced to 5.5 years' jail on Thursday (2 September) in addition to a monetary penalty of $1,156,250.
Allegedly Henry Foo Yung Thye had "gambling addiction". He has accepted $1.2 million in bribes from various companies including China Railway Tunnel, MEPT Engineering, Tritech Group Limited and Tiong Seng Contractors in the form of "loans".
