Peoples Daily inform first large-diameter TBM used in plateau alpine railways on September 14. "Snow Pioneer" TBM manufacture by China Railway Corporation Limited manufacture.

The plateau railway tunnel is 37.9 kilometers. It is deep tunnel in high seismic intensity and activity risky area.

"Snow Pioneer" 245 meter long. It can tunnel long distance with no problem. It has strong cutter head design and a special design main bearing.It has  integrated rockburst detection system.

Constructor can control and run TBM remote. From a remote control center above ground in office area
