Miljan Barović, Secretary for Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development, has said that the planned tunnel through the Gorica Hill (a forest park and recreational area) will not be built. It is a definite decision.

A 582 meter-long tunnel between city center of Podgorica (capital of Montenegro) and Zagoric was planned to ease traffic. It was first proposed in 1978 but after 2006 became increasingly talked about. There was a popular opposition by locals and environmentalists against tunnel plans.
