Excavation of the two tunnels has started between Divača and Koper. The rail project in Slovenia, part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) corridor aims to improve the connection between the capital Ljubljana and the coast of the country.
Construction Europe reports that a 1,154m-long tunnel above the Osapska valley and a 3,808m-long tunnel in Dekani will be built as part of its €628 million contract.
The project is built by the CPG Consortium which comprises of Kolektor CPG and the Turkish companies Yapi Merkezi and Ozaltin.
