Atkins wins the contract covering detailed design and construction support for a 3.1km rail tunnel in Sweden.
The main contractor of the project is Implenia of Switzerland. Implenia's overall contract is worth SEK3.5bn (£284m) which involves the planning and construction of 2.7km of railway, 2 stations, several bridges, a 2.8km conventional and a 450m cut-and-cover tunnel. Atkins' part of the project is worth only £13.
