Kraków city council has discussed the new rail transport system "Feasibility study for fast, collision-free rail transport in Krakow" on Wednesday 20 October 2021. The city's further steps depend on the results of councilors' discussions, including obtaining environmental decisions for the construction of the pre-metro, writes municipality internet site.

According to the assumptions of the study, the Krakow pre-metro is to be 21.82 km, of which 6.6 km is as two tunnels and 1.4 km on the flyover. It will have 32 stations.
