Chile adds a tunnel to the US$1.55bn Melipilla-Santiago railway
According to BN Americas, Chile's EFE (Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado - State Railway Company) updates its plans to take underground the 3.5km of 61km Melipilla-Santiago railway. The underground section will be between Santiago's Estación Central 2 and Alameda stations.
