Swiss vision for an underground cargo transport system
Switzerland plans to shift environment polluting truck traffic to underground. Or more correctly said, to replace the gas-guzzling trucks with environmentally-sound tunnel pods: Fleets of autonomous, unmanned vehicles working 24 hours a day.
The plan is proposed by a private corsortium a few years ago and now the momentum for public acceptance of the project is increasing.

News of Swiss plans for an extensive underground cargo tunnel network reaches Bloomberg. This itself is a good news. The more you talk about it, the more motivation it creates to realize this vision.
